Educator Tours + ECE Student Observations
Room to Grow is a mentor site for Early Childhood Education students and other ECE professionals who visit to gain ideas and inspiration as well as to complete observations and the practicum portions of their college classes. Paid Early Child Education Paid Internship
Are you an ECE student? Do you want to learn more about developmentally appropriate practice, emergent curriculum, or play-based learning?
Term of internship: One semester with the possibility to extend to two.
Description: work as part of the teaching team two (2) days per week (TBD) for up to 6 hours per day.
Room to Grow is a part-day program that enrolls children between the ages of 3-6 years. The program is based in play and follows and emergent curriculum.
School year: September through mid-June
School day: 8:45-12:30 (teaching staff works 7:30-1:30
Compensation: $20/hr.
Requirements:
· At least 18 years of age
· Currently enrolled in ECE classes and pursuing a career in early education
· Willing to be fingerprinted
· Meet requirements for health and immunization status per CCLD
· Previous experience working with preschool aged children desirable
