Educators + ECE Students

At Room to Grow we love sharing our classroom experiences with ECE professionals and students. In the past we have facilitated hands-on workshops and presentations on topics such as process art, nature + art, storytelling, human geography, etc. Room to Grow is also a mentor site for Early Childhood Education students. We value sharing our ideas and inspiration with all educators. Paid Early Child Education Internship

Are you an ECE student?  Do you want to learn more about developmentally appropriate practice, emergent curriculum, or play-based learning?

Term of internship:  One semester with the possibility to extend to two.

Description:  work as part of the teaching team for up to 6 hours per day. 

 Room to Grow is a half-day program that enrolls children between the ages of 3-6 years.  The program is based in play and follows an emergent curriculum.

 School year:  September through mid-June

School day:   8:45-12:30  (teaching staff works 7:30-1:30)

 Compensation:  $20/hr.

Requirements:

·        At least 18 years of age

·        Currently enrolled in ECE classes and pursuing a career in early education

·        Willing to be fingerprinted

·        Meet requirements for health and immunization status per CCLD

·        Previous experience working with preschool aged children desirable
